THE BLUE DOT

We’re off to travel the world for 120 days (ish) and we’ll be using this blog to share our journey through posts, videos and of course photos! All of the photos used on our blog are from our previous or current trip.

Who are we?

Emma:  I graduated from Mount St. Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, Maryland in 2011. Ask anyone and they will confirm my immense amount of school pride: #GOMOUNT. Among many things, I enjoy running, taking photos and practicing my British accent.

Clayton: Clayton hails from the fine state of Missouri and is always ready for an adventure involving two feet or two wheels. He enjoys multi-color sunsets, trail runs, paperback books, warm coffee, and being able to carry the necessitates in a backpack.

The merger: After graduation we both found our selves in the Windy City working for an Event Production company called Red Frog Events where we were able to travel to remote parts of the USA and even internationally.

Our love for travel grew rapidly as we found ourselves booking 4-day trips to Central America, Work Away’s in Southern Chile and impulse Marathon sign-ups across Europe. 15 countries and 39 states later, we knew we needed more.

We were ready for some ‘calculated risk’.  Having several other inspiring friends in our lives that set aside their comforts for their own grand adventures, we knew we wanted to be next. So, after much research, planning, saving, moving into friends apartments to save even more, and quitting our jobs we’re off to explore the unknown.

We look forward to uncharted adventures, connecting authentically with people and expanding outside of our comfort zones. I’m confident this journey will lead us to all of that and more.  Here we go.
